Does anybody know how to sew a parachute used at weddings for shtick? I'd like to make one for a friend of mine, and then donate it.

You order a white one online and hire a seamstress to cut out a hole and create a seam so it doesn't fray or tear. Just a tip, make sure the hole is large enough for a couple of family members to join, so buy a really big parachute.

Would require a lot of fabric to make from scratch.
Maybe this, and cut the hole :
