Wud u use second cut brisket meat that exp 3/18 was stored in a big standalone freezer that gets opened maybe once a week? I just found 3 packs that I bought a while ago...pls note it was NEVER defrosted and refrozen...

The dates are reference points when fresh, not frozen. It’s totally ok to use

the date might refer to the use by date for fresh meat. Vac packed beef lasts for a couple of months in the fridge. In the freezer it is safe to eat almost indefinitely, but quality might go down.

That's over a year old. I thought meat should be frozen for max 6 months.

No problem as long as it isn’t freezer burned in which case it won’t taste good but won’t hurt you either
