Disclaimer: We're making a Bar Mitzvah on Shabbos CHM Succos iy'h and we need to work out the logistics early enough to see if we can pull it off. Otherwise we may have to postpone it until after YT.
Has anyone used a scaffolding succah? We'll need a succah to host approx 30 out of town guests with space to sleep 11 once the tables are moved.

Thanks dankbar, if anyone else knows more about it I'd love to hear from you.

I'd also love to hear from anyone that made a succos simcha. Is there anything I need to know, something we may forget?

What's your location? Sukkos is quite late this year, and the days and nights might be quite cold, if you're in the Tri-state area. And what happens if it rains? Do you have the space to bring everyone indoors?

Do you have room for a washing station outside?
My husband is super handy, and for a sukkos simcha he built a simple wooden frame, inserted a sink (we happened to have a spare) and attached it to a hose. It was a mechaya - no one had to wait around in our one-sink kitchen.
Keep Sukkah decor very simple.

I've seen someone build a sukka for a simcha . It was a wooden frame with thick plastic around for the walls. They rented tables and chairs. It was for the men only. Women were inside.

Honestly I would postpone it unless it is the only weekend you can do it.

I also hate it when women are put inside because of lack of space.

Men go to shul' s sukkah in such cases, where I live. People have small sukkah at home, not large enough for big crowd.
Oh I see it's a bar mitzvah, can women be inside shul?
My sons vachtnacht was for men only in shul sukka.
My neighbor vachtnacht, men were in shul sukka. Ladies in her dining room.

Our shul has a massive sukkah, and has hosted simchas in it.
But I have to be honest. If we needed to find sukkah sleeping space for a dozen people, I'd postpone. Unless you have a lot of really generous neighbors.
And mazel tov.
