Baby name help please Smile
We are BH pregnant with our third (don’t know if boy or girl yet) but love baby name planning and could use your help!

We have a Rachelli Ziona and am Aharon Daniel (both named after relatives). My husband is Israeli/sefardi and there is nobody left to name after, so we have all the options in the world.

Would prefer something more modern/Israeli than our first two, but preferably with a biblical root.

Ideas???

Noa, for a girl. Biblical and she was one of bnot tzelafchad, very zionistic.

Eliezer. Shimon. Yochanan. Yonatan. Yehuda. The Maccabees

Any name that has “light” in it is very popular for Chanukah.
Or. Ori. Leora. Orit. Tair. Yair. Neriya.

Here are some biblical girl names that are considered more 'modern' and are current in Israel:
efrat
avital
avigayil
chagit
ra'aya (from Shir Hashirim)
tzruya
avishag
michal
meirav
tamar
milka
yiskah
noa
na'ama
yael
chamutal
achinoam
shlomit
shlomzion - post-biblical but very suitable for Chanukah time

If I have more time later I will post some boys names.

You say very zionistic. Based on what? That they wanted a nachala in EY or based on the concept on today's zionistic view?

By the way, Noa is a very popular name, also for non-religious people in Israel.
