I'm a pretty experienced bug checker and recently bought a bug checker. I soak the lettuce in soapy water, rinsed the bowl several times, checked on the checker, removed what I saw, rinsed them in the bowl again. Got ready to eat, looked at one leaf, I'm pretty sure I saw a bug.
Help! What am I doing wrong?

By bug checker, do you mean a light box?

I use a thrip cloth. I had a head or two that were so infested that after doing the process 3 times, they were still not clean and I had to throw them out erev bedikas chometz night. This is the season (when it gets warmer) that there are more bugs.
