Not only now when weather is hot & we make sure he drinks enough & even when house is cool. when I take his temperature its in the high 99 or low 100 range. is this normal?
he doesn't have a cold or anything to blame it on.
anyone ever had this with a kid?

No, not normal, but not necessarily a problem either. Some people have a higher baseline temperature.
I would definitely bring it up with your doctor, though, as it could be a sign of infection or something else.

So I know its not this kids baseline. in the past it was more like 97'ish. I brought it up with the pediatrician a couple of weeks ago and she was like hmm. maybe teething- its definitely the age.
It still is going on- and I don't think its teething at this point. perhaps then it was as he was also very cranky and had diarrhea that week (though both could be related to an infection & antibiotics he was on then) I recently brought it up with a specialist my kid sees- who was concerned about it- but didn't have any insight either.she just wants us to keep a log of it.

Maybe consider having bloodwork done if you didn't yet

Also, idk if this is a good sign or what- he'll feel hot & after a while cool down then temp goes up. it just fluctuates all day- but mostly on higher side. could it be like a regulation issue?

How much were his nuetrophils? What about other things were fine?
Neutrophils is low that is part of white blood cells- that's the part of the immune system. Why is it low? It could be a virus or infection makes it low....hope it's nothing else.

Dont want to scare you. A virus/infection going on....then fever tries to fight but if it's ongoing fluctuations temp you should be on top of it

Don't worry. I'm not scared, I know of plenty scary scenarios it can ch'v be. We live in the moment and daven all should be'h be good.
Thing is- its not really fever just higher temperature then normal that doesn't make sense to me. thats why I'm so puzzled and curious if anyone else had this & what it was?

Your doctor didn't send you to a hematologist-blood doctor?

Hematologist just wants us to keep a log. She said if it continues maybe she'll send us to infectious disease.

Also, were there any other symptoms or was he/she acting totally fine otherwise?

It could be nothing as well....a passing virus.
I know someone who had low blood counts because of a milk allergy. It can be so many things. The fever comes from the low blood count. The question is why is he having low counts.
I know someone who had low platlets from an Epstein bar virus. It could be so many things. Make sure to go to dr & follow up
