I tried googling this. My black beans sprouted during cooking. I was reading if they sprout before cooking to use caution. Nothing about during cooking.

This never happened to me before. I soaked them overnight and they have been simmering after a boil for about 5 hours. I cooked them with fresh garlic, onion, bay leaves, and other spices.
