I'm not very good at figuring this out, so please help!

I only need my hot plate on for lunch this coming Sunday. I don't need it for Shabbos or Monday lunch. I have a timer with pins. Is there a way that I can have it on just for the one day that I need it or will I be forced to have it on all three days? (I think I can have it on for a very short time on Shabbos and then on Sunday to move the black pin so that it is on for longer, but can I put in or remove the red pin at all on Y"T?)

I don't believe that you are allowed to move the trippers/pins on Shabbos or YT. Please ask your LOR. The laws are complicated.

Set a 24 hour timer to go on an off from 11am to 3pm (or however long you need it on Sunday). It will go on and off every day and you don't have to (nor should you for safety) have it on for 3 days.
If you hold of the opinion that you may remove pins (but not put in pins), then remove the on pin once you're done with Sunday, so it doesn't go on again on Monday.

This is the best thing. You can customize which days and which hours you want it on.

I use it only for my milchiga toaster oven. I only want it on Sunday between 10 am and 2 pm.

Thanks for answering. I have always removed the black pins on Y"T. I didn't know that you can remove red pins. So they go hand in hand? in other words, if you hold that you can remove black pins, you can remove red ones too?

Sure. All you're doing is removing a pin when the timer is off. And then it stays off.

Glad you joined in at the end of a conversation where I already wrote if you hold by the opinion. Rolling Laughter
