OP, most people don't discuss their income, or how much their bathrobes cost, when asking for shoe recommendations. So I figured that you would want to be sure that everyone glancing at your feet would know you're rich; hence the Louboutin recommendation.

I like Clark's.. most of my shoes are Clark's and they aren't that expensive on sale. (60-100 euros). Comfortable and beautiful imo

I don't know why people have to nitpick. She wrote her post that way to show the type of footwear she wants to sync it with. The quoted price is pretty average in frum robe stores, and I don't think its a sin to shop in frum stores. She's not going to Manhattan and custom ordering who knows what and she's not obligated to get a $20 robe on ali that may or may not arrive/fit/survive more than a month, etc.
Similar for her follow up post about DH earning. She wants to show that the high price tag its ridiculous bec. its ridiculous, and totally unrelated to her income.
I totally see why she wrote both pieces of info and how its relevant to the post. I feel sorry that people are so quick to jump on this.
BTW, I wear my crocs too, with my robe. Not only that, but they are hand me down crocs! I can't see myself ever replacing them.

I so agree with this. Perhaps some posters' insecurities are showing?
I 've never owned a robe, but there's nothing wrong with stating the price of one's ensemble when asking for matching shoes in a 'Fashion and Beauty' forum. You'd wear a different pair of shoes with different priced outfits.

Furthermore, there's nothing wrong with OP saying, gosh, I wouldn't spend that much money on a pair of shoes, and I can certainly afford to. It just gives the statement weight. More weight than if I, for example, would make such a statement.

She wasn't bragging. Sheesh.

Well, yes.

Once OP started discussing how much money her husband makes, and how much money she spends on her various robes, it seemed obvious to me that she wanted to wear shoes that demonstrated to everyone that she's wealthy.

Now, if she just wants comfortable shoes, these are the most comfy shoes I've ever worn.

Thanks! I just ordered these.

Hope you find them as comfortable as I do. Seriously, I now own both colors, and have to force myself to wear other shoes. And to resist buying 5 more pairs of black so I can wear them well into old age.

OP here
Thank you!! couldn't have said it better!
I don't consider myself rich btw - comfortable yes bh, but not rich!!! and these comments do hurt- I just don't get the rich-bashing mentality- although I know how hard it is to be struggling for money. my dad never brought home a penny when I was growing up, and I felt the pinch as a teen when I had to work to get A DECENT wardrobe
I feel for you ,but no bashing ..pleeeaaase , and btw my 185 dollar robe is so so so regular in my community, its like the ubiquitous bugaboos that almost everyone gets. 98 percent (or more) of women my age young (20's) get a new said price robe each season\

If they have your size .... you're welcome.

But would you wear that with a summer skirt? I see that as a shoe to wear with pants, or with heavy black tights and a winter skirt.

I figured the styles on there were more what you're looking for. Yes it's Jewish owned, their store is in Lakewood.

I wouldn't wear them with an outfit or dress on Shabbos but I would totally wear them with my robe. Could be others would wear it always though.
