Any recommendation for an iron supplement for a preschooler? Chewable. I picked up one at random and it seems to be more sugar than anything. My 9 year old tried it and said it's way too sweet - so it's not just me!
Child friendly, chewable. But not overly laden with sugar.
Also, any tips to mitigate associated constipation?

I take Spatone packets. You mix them with any beverage. Any kid over 2 can take them. CRC said they were totally fine kashrus wise and no constipation issues.

Did your pediatrician say your child needs iron supplements? If yes, he should be able to reccomend which one. If the pediatrician didn't prescribe it, never give a child iron if the doctor did not prescribe it.

1/4 teaspoon of molasses every day will give enough iron. You can give it straight, on a spoon, or mix it into juice. You could even bake it into cookies or muffins.

Yes, the ped recommended it based on blood work. But he said any brand/type made for children.
I'll check into the suggestions. Thank you!
