How many may kids have per day?
On school days I say one per kid per day- they usually have it when they come home from school or after playing outside. I have limited space in my freezer so can’t have too many in there at once.

Summer days they do usually end up having more to cool down.

Curious what others do.

Also, for those making there own- wha5 do you fill it with & what’s the easiest? I bought the ozerio freeze pop ziplock bags- but they’re so hard to fill.

We love to blend defrosted strawberries, lemon juice and honey and put into skinny 8 pop trays with popsicles (the sticks the tray comes with don't extend all the way to the bottom and don't hold such a robust froze fruit).

They can have one of that a day or 2 freeze pops.

The freeze pops are 1.5 oz, it's nothing. I let my kids have up to 4 a day.

I like to buy trader joes popsicles for home. No food coloring or high fructose corn syrup. Camp gives out the junk ones so I figure its a balance.

We do freeze pops (1.5 oz) with no food coloring. About 1-2 per day depending on what is going on. It’s also to many neighbors. So we go through a lot.
On Shabbos it’s sometimes more or nicer pops. Also to half the neighborhood.

Hah this is hysterical. I didn’t realize people had freeze pop rules. I gave one to my 4 year old for the first time and she wasn’t keen on it. But my rule was she had to eat it sitting down. So I guess I had my own rule after all

They don’t ask. I offer. I feel bad my kids should get a treat in front of them.
I’m also the Shabbos party house.
But I rather it that way. Having the neighborhood congregate at my home means I can supervise better what is going on and have more control of the situation. It’s a small price to pay for that. (I also don’t live in a development do Shabbos party tobthe neighborhoos is only about 18 kids max).

There are clear ones now, and some kids don't like them as much, but they don't stain clothing and they don't contain unsafe dyes.

I have freeze Pops. The rule is one per day after supper IF you didn't eat any other nosh with sugar that day.
And part of the rule is if wrappers are found littered on the ground outside I will stop buying them.

I'm assuming you mean the freeze pops that come 100 per box and the like.
By the time August came along, they were a major food group in my family.

I guess once a month (when it’s out of my control). I’ve never bought them but I sometimes buy the plain fruit juice ices for a special treat.
My kids are thrilled with watermelon and frozen grapes.

If you mean those dreadful skinny plastic film tubes full of artificially colored sugar water, we don't buy them. I fill my little Tupperware ice pop thingies with fruit juice, lemonade or pureed fruit. I've experimented with other things like pureed veggies but those weren't successful. We never had any "rules" about this, but why would I give kids more than one a day? My freezer compartment isn't even big enough to hold more than two per family member, and it takes quite a while to freeze them.

I never had ice pop rules. We made some out juice. We bought some when we ran out. When the kids became bored and stopped eating them, I stopped buying and stopped making.

My kids never really took to them.

Thunderstorm, love your rule.

I don't buy them (never had them growing up). The kids get one at the end of the day at day camp. It's a highlight of the day!

I have the snap ices - easiest to give my kids but mostly sugar.
They don't have coloring which is great. Depending on the weather usually 1 or 2. A special treat is 3, but that is when I am busy and need to keep them quiet.
