For all of you dreaming of being home but still have little ones- you aint gonna be painting and reading and becoming very cultured! You’ll be playing little sally saucer and wiping runny noses and trying to fit in some housework in between!
And DVOM- I’ll take your mosquitoes if it comes along with a pond!

You can do some work from home or chessed. Volunteer to do phone calls etc.
Maybe go swimming now in summer. Just relax and enjoy the freedom.
Maybe cook and freeze cakes and food for rosh hashana and sukkos.

My dream is to be able to be one of those moms who are always so active in my kid's schools. You know, the ones who are always there, helping with some kind of thing. I get emails all week looking for daytime volunteers and always sigh... One day!
OP, call up your kids schools and ask how you can help!

I work very few hours a week and don’t have little kids at home. I go to the gym, do volunteer work which sometimes involves long distance driving, so that takes up the day. There are always errands, laundry... and what’s wrong with relaxing? I’m never bored.
