The sum of VIXI - I have lived - is 17, one less than 18, the gematria for chai (life).

Ancient Roman wrote VIXI on gravestones and for this reason considered 17 to be an unlucky number. Meanwhile 18 is the luckiest number in Judaism.

I find this fascinating.

Me too. Don't know why but it's cool. Did you work it out yourself?

There was a question about it on Russian Jeopardy. I was like, wow, amazing!

Another thing - the connection between the word "chai" and "ki" meaning life force in eastern religions. I'm guessing came from Avraham's six sons w Ketura who went East with much knowledge about the spiritual world.
