Even if everyone is again reaffirming her grift... it's just the best word. Sometimes the word-of-day is perfect.

Oy! I just endured a multi-day tea-spilling session on a chat about the various crimes against humanity and the conservative movement committed by TPUSA.

Caolan Robertson is a grifter. Candace Owens is the political equivalent of Vanna White. She's a very good spokesmodel, but no one thinks she's some kind of intellectual iconoclast.

Owens isn't a grifter. She's a courageous woman who needs a bit more polish and isn't quite ready for prime time, imho.

Joy Villa is a griftrr

I wouldn't even call Joy Villa a grifter. She's an opportunist who takes a political stance that's a novelty in the entertainment world in order to sell her music and attempt to sell people on Scientology.

There are always people who jump on bandwagons in order to promote themselves in essentially harmless ways. They're not really nefarious -- just saw a chance to grab their 15 minutes of fame and wrestle it to the ground.

I used to be annoyed by Joy Villa until she did her anti abortion dress. Now I can barely tolerate her. She's a little too blatant about her desire for fame.

Agreed. I think everyone backed away slowly because of the Scientology stuff.

Anyway, Candace is getting married, and the Tories, UKIPs, and Brexiteers will presumably make use of her talents, such as they are.

The real tea is about Lauren Southern breaking Allum Bokhari's heart after getting him to write content for her. Never followed Southern personally, but a whole lot of people really hate her for that.

That's awful. Is that why she left politics?

I’m of above average intelligence and I think you’re missing either empathy or an understanding of how satire works.

Gingertop, do you not believe that Candace Owens is genuinely disturbed, for instance, by black and brown babies making up 90% of abortions? To me the real surprise is that more black and brown women aren't aware of or disturbed by that.

I would ban all forms of elementary school homework, including book reports, science projects, anything requiring a tri-board, rubber cement, glitter, crayons, stencils, picture printouts, or online research.

Come to think of it, I really can't see any negative unintended consequences with this one!

I'd make it illegal to have children without passing rigorous aptitude tests and counseling.

(It's a terrible idea, and could be abused badly. But hey, I'm queen of the world!)

Or use science projects as fundraisers! As in, "Give us money or we'll assign a science fair project." That would have me searching my couches for stray coins and collecting aluminum cans in the alleys to collect a few extra pennies.

Ha! More like a string of such relationships was likely to be revealed. Bokhari is just the one everybody feels bad about because he's apparently very sweet and sincere.

Most money is on the premise that Caolan Robertson and George Llewelyn-John have extensive dirt on her, and she wants to keep a low profile until they're no longer public-ish figures. They not only swindled everyone they came into contact with, they actually doxxed people to Hope Not Hate, the UK version of Antifa.

What no one can figure out is why she worked with them in the first place.

All I can say is that at this rate, I may have to go back to wound care so that I can chew over the gossip every week! Smile

I would definitely ban alternate side parking, parking meters and red light cameras.

Can't really see any downsides to this, either.

Personally I’d completely revamp the school system. I’d put grass, trees, pets, and humongous playgrounds in each school. I’d have child development specialists figure out how long a child can sit still and focus at any age, and not allow children to have to sit for longer.
Curriculums will foster curiosity and critical thinking instead of memorization. There will be more focus on interpersonal and life skills. There will be separate classrooms tailored to children with behavioral difficulties, or maybe those won’t be necessary under the new guidelines.
I believe this will happen one day. I just don’t know if in time for my children or even grandchildren.

I believe you are describing what is called the Montessori Method which already exists but check out this school in Tokyo which takes it to the next level-- https://www.dezeen.com/2017/10.....ound/

First and foremost, I would be Queen, and we would have a matriarchy.

Just think, funding for schools, homes and food for everyone, and no more wars. Zex crimes would be punished for much longer terms.

Male privilege would be extremely frowned upon in society, and treating women badly would be considered very rude behavior by other men. They would police themselves and want to be seen as gentle people. Entitled attitudes would get laughed out of the room.

Hey, a girl can dream...

How would you pay for it?
