Mazel tov to my DD, Druscilla, who passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) this week and is now a registered nurse! We're very proud of her, and we're delighted that she can check all our boo-boos from here on out!
However, she was rather stern with me about staying out of the hospital in the future. She said that she would prefer not to be involved with my streptococcal colonies.
Kids! What'cha gonna do?! You raise them to adulthood and they don't even want to check out your streptococcal colony issues in exchange!

Oy! I forgot to update everyone with this installment of my saga.
Apparently Richard, my wound care specialist, told my infectious diseases doc about the cookies. So in strides Dr. Leonard, ready to double- and triple-check me before discharge while telling me at length how much Richard loved the cookies. I could hardly stagger out of the room through all the hints that had been dropped.
I can see that I need special health care insurance that covers the cost of these ridiculously expensive (but worth it!) cookies. I'm concerned I'll show up in the ER and be asked when the cookies can be expected!
Either that or HIPAA needs additional provisions to ensure that health care providers don't gossip about the cookies they received!
But I think we're taking Dru and her hubby out to Shallot's for dinner instead of giving her cookies.

She's already married for 1 1/2 years, and her twin, Prunella, has been married for 1 year. Clementine is still available, though!

But halachically she's not even allowed to check your boo-boos, y'know--- but if you've bribed enough doctors with cookies I'm sure it'll be fine.
