I'm being treated for a medical condition and I'm not supposed to exert myself physically or mentally. I'm feeling bored and unproductive. All the things I dreamed of doing had I had the time before I became ill are too taxing for me now- things like cooking, baking, home organizing, decorating, dancing, exercising, shopping etc. I need ideas of what I can do while in bed/with my feet up that will help me feel productive and take my mind off of things. Any ideas? Recommendations for craft/sewing blogs?

Embroidery, needlepoint, crocheting. I taught myself some fancy embroidery stitches by watching YouTube videos. Puzzles on a puzzleboard.

CreativeLive.com is a great value to learn about interesting things you can do. (I sometimes speed up the videos to 1.5x faster!)

Great idea!
And needlework. Knitting/crocheting. Needlepoint/cross-stitch.
You could even do your own blog or podcast -- Tales from the Bed

Thank you all for the ideas!
I'm putting together a list for myself.
The problem with online schooling is that I'm not supposed to exert myself mentally either and I can't have the pressure of exams or deadlines. I would've loved to study to further my qualifications, but I can't. It would need to be something easy and chilled. I would probably enjoy learning graphics or interior design.
Any links to specific products and websites that are good, or blogs or youtube channels?

How is your fine muscle control? I like to make beaded necklaces. They make great gifts.

It was when I was bed ridden for over six months that I was introduced to scrapbooking. It's over 20 years and it's still my favorite hobby now.

When I was postpartum, and resting by mom, I did my brother's wedding invitation list, gathered the info, entered into computer, printed labels, stuffed & addressed envelopes ready for mailing

I recommend this to a lot of ppl in real life. Project Life scrapbooking app and if you are on fb there's an amazing group for it with tons of ideas and support. Simply Scrapping Digital Life or something, it will come up.
