My DS is 2 and a half. I have no idea how these pediatrician visits/ check ups work. His last checkup was when he was 18 months. When is the next time I have to take him?

Our ped has you come 18 mo, 2 years, 2 1/2 years then its 3,4,5 etc.

Kids need a well visit every 6 months to a year, depending on the age and if vaccines are needed.
My doctors office is very ontop of well visits and send reminders to schedule appointments.
The schools also ask for a well visit before school starts.

DIdnt they tell you when the next one would be?
My ped sees kids every 3 months till age 2. And after 2 yearly. So you are overdue (several) check ups

After 18 months, my pediatrician says to come at 2 again and then at 3.

Our well visit schedule is every month until age 1, every 3 months until age 2, and every 6 months until age 3. After that it's once a year.

Where do you live?
In NY, it's 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year, 18 months, 2, and then once a year.

Omg so many different answers! My dr never told me any of this. I live very oot. I'll schedule an apt for now, and then I'll ask her for a breakdown.

I think it has more to do with your doctor than with your location. I live in NY too and my kids see the doctor more frequently than the above schedule.
