I have very itchy scalp and I checked for nits and I don’t have.. a friend mentioned she once heard if u dont wash snoods often can cause it.. anyone had that experience?

Your friend is right. Your snoods are sweaty and have dandruff. You'll tend to be itchy if they're not washed regularly.

Also if you cover your hair when its wet (under snood, hat, wig etc) your scalp can develop an itchy fungus.

Antifungal shampoo. Use it on your hair, and to wash your snoods. If you wash your own sheitel, use it there, too. (Don't forget to condition your sheitel afterwards, as the shampoo can be a bit drying.)
