I bought Ben and Jerry’s non dairy ice cream but now I see that by kashrut certification it is DE (dairy equipment)

How does this work? Can I serve for desert after meat meal?

I have an opposite thing. Where I don't really eat a lot of meat. And I wanted to know if the veggie/kugel/pasta things at a deli could be eaten with cheese.

At one place I was told not with but after I could.

But I also know a place that it's actually fliesh bc nothing is really separate.

I clear the table of meat then serve in clean dishes with clean spoons.

Please just get the Trader Joe's soy vanilla Ice cream. I believe it to be marked pareve.
Additionally, Can we please all boycott Ben and Jerry's in the US (Israel is actually separately owned).
They are strong supporters of The Woman's March; Tamika Mallory, and Linda Sarsour.
For those unfamiliar, they are very anti-Semitic, support BDS and are buddies with Rep. Ilhan Omar and Louis Farrakhan.

I’ve seen many serve the non-dairy b&J. I don’t because I don’t rely on reading the ingredients label to be sufficient for kashrus. AKA No kashrus agency has certified it to not have dairy. We can be sure b&J do process dairy ingredients! If someone serves I don’t eat it. I’m not sure why others are and no one has told me they received a psak.

There’s a gelato and sorbet brand Telenti or something like that that’s the same scenario.

It is certified as dairy equipment. I don’t think you understand this

This is totally untrue!
There are many people who eat only chalav yisroel who will eat things that are dairy equipment.
It is generally a chassidic minhag not to eat dairy equipment.

It's not a general rule. Some do, some don't.

I understand very well. I teach this kashrus to women. The designation is there for a reason. We don’t know that the equipment is cleaned before use.

Also, just for the record, there is no OU-DE.

That’s what I thought too, until I came across this:

ETA: the picture is of an OU-DE I came across on a non-dairy ice cream, so it clearly does exist. I’m not sure how to get the image to imbed directly.
