honestly I would be surprised if there is. Borrowing money for downpayments is not so simple to begin with. Leaving that aside if there is an organization that already lends out money for this purpose I don't know why individuals would lend out money to people they don't know? I would think think they would just direct the people to the gemach?
Do other places have wealthy people who do this? I never heard of it besides for chicago's gemach.

You can apply for grants to add to your Down Payment. Two programs we used were IDHA and DPP. You can google for more information.
