reading a thread about what girls bring to camp got me thinking. my 12 yo son is going to camp for the first time. not for social status specifically, but anything I should know about what boys bring? other than the usual clip-op fan, flashlight etc.

I started this thread a while ago but didn’t get to many responses. Thanks to ramom I did get some ideas.
Adidas slides
Foldable chair
Deck of cards
Clip on fan
Flashlight
Baseball mitt
Sports gear
I also bought him some small games/toys. For example, a Simon Air game.
If anyone has more ideas I’d love to hear:

My son brought up our OGO game. Its like 2 netted frisbies with a little squishy ball and you play it I guess like tennis lobbing the ball back and forth. It can be played indoors too since its not hard. Anyway, he said kids were borrowing them from him all the time and really liked them.
Also, some books for Shabbos.

An athletic protector. Sports equipment. Basketball jerseys were highly prized at my sons' camp, but YMMV.
Shower caddy. Extra toothbrushes.
