Hi! I'm looking for a playground that has an old fashioned merry go round. Does that still exist?

There's one at my parents bungalow, I didn't see these in playgrounds for years.
These are so unsafe, how did we survive?????

That was always my favorite playground feature!

The insurance lobby is taking all the fun out of playgrounds these days. Next thing you know, none of the structures will be allowed to be more than 3 inches off the ground, and covered in bubble wrap.

Pupa preschool in Williamsburg used to have a merry go round in their yard. Wonder if it still exists

It's so interesting to me that you can't find one. I have 2 parks near me that have merry go rounds, in my non-ancient neighborhood in Lakewood.

It's funny- I never even noticed that there are no more merry-go-rounds!

I can understand why, though- total hazard... the liability on those things Can't Believe It

Seesaws are also gone.
And the same merry go round with sort of a steering wheel in middle which we used to spin the mgr faster

The Westgate park has a small one. Nothing fancy or exciting. It's on the corner of Hillside & Maplewood.
