Conservative in the modest, less conspicuous sense.

It seems unhealthy for a girl to have Dad clothes and Mom clothes. She's embarrassed to be seen in Dad's clothes in Mom's neighborhood? I think that's a lot for a young girl.
Are you and the xdh on reasonable terms? Is he pressuring her to wear certain things?
Is your neighborhood super charedi? Is it the type of place where a girl will get looks if she wears jeans? |
Yes, it's a lot to carry for dd.
Xdh does not seem to be aware of the consequences of what he is doing but is more focusing on the matter of choice.
Imo choosing between skirts or leggings isn't just about style of clothing but a way of life too.
It's not a regular thing that she comes from his house to mine without school uniform but each time she arrives in leggings or jeans in the past ( she stopped wearing them for now) is too much.
So much conflicting feelings for a little girl.
I live in a busy chareidi area but not sure so she'd get looks near my house bec lots of other people pass by there for shopping, but she doesn't want to be seen by her cousins and neighbours.
