Any ideas of what to do to entertain my 5, 3, and active 2 year old this shabbos during the heat wave?
We're fine being inside on Shabbos morning (we usually stay in until the seuda), but after the seuda we visit friends a few blocks away for the afternoon which helps pass the time. This shabbos, it's going to be almost 100 degrees, so I can't trust my 2 year old to even make it down the block. I would need indoor activity ideas to last 2-3 hours (they go to bed early, B"H!!).

If it's only a few blocks I would still go and take along ice water bottles.

I’d walk out up to a 10 minute walk.

Same. I'm assuming this Brooklyn and you don't hold by the eiruv. Just make sure your friends know you're coming so they're home to let you in.

The next day I am supposed to fast so I plan to stay home and hydrate. I do have grandchildren staying here and I like the library idea because otherwise they will want me to play Old Maid all day. ( I am willing to do it some but not all day).
ETA, get some cheap toys to entertain the toddler. Ikea has some cheap ideas and it's worth it to go to the frum stores to get stuff that isn't muktzah.

Switch toys with a friend so both your kids have something new to play with. Only take out the new toy after the seuda.
