I have these Smart thermostats hooked up to all my standard air conditioners (not central air). They work by maintaining a set temp in the room, cycling on and off, but are way more efficient than money saver. And I can control it from the website (or the app if you have a smartphone). Wondering what degrees I should set it to when I am away?
I have heard that leaving air conditioners off is very bad for the house/furniture etc, so I want to leave them on, but at the same time I don't want to spend a fortune.

I set mine to 80 since it's humid where I live and I worry about mold.

We leave our central a/ c at 78 degrees Fahrenheit until about an hour before we come home.

Do you have a 'dry' mode? I would use that.
