What's the best way to clean the camera lens? I don't mind buying a kit but I don't know what to look for.

Eyeglass cleaner and a soft eyeglass cloth

I don't know about kits...but I once used a bedika cloth (was away with limited supplies) and it worked so well! Why not? Clean cotton cloth.
Then I trimmed one to look like a regular piece of fabric and kept it with my glasses too.

Its pretty simple. You need a dust blower thing to blow the dust off first so you don't scratch the lens, and then you need a soft dry cloth that's for this purpose only.
