There is a book in both Hebrew and in English in two volumes - one for the woman and one for the man. The name of the book in Hebrew is חיים של אושר, but I don't remember the name of it in English. I also don't remember the author. The cover is in shades of purple and white - a picture of two white doves flying towards a home. I read it before I was married (only the woman's volume) and found it very enlightening.
Don't know whether that is very helpful... but maybe somebody has the missing details?

I have one or two, that dh's chosson teacher told us to buy. It's halacha and hashkafa, mainstream Orthodox supposedly, but a bit strict... It's in French, but if you're interested...

"Table for two - making a good marriage better" by Avraham Peretz Friendman - small book, but great ideas, down to earth and practical.
Also second, R' Pliskin's "Marriage", Dr. Winkler's "Ten Minutes...", "DD" and "DS".

The absolute best marriage books I've read are The Committed Marriage and books by John Gottman from the Gottman Institute. He's done scientific research on why marriages succeed and fail.

The author of 'You Owe It To Yourself' is Atara Malach and it is a lovely book as is Rabbi Pliskin's book entitled 'Marriage.'
