My child’s wrist is all red and was blistery- almost burn like from irritation from hospital band.
PICU dr said it’s a contact dermatitis and to put zinc cream, but looks more burn like to me. Did anyone ever have this? It’s not this kids first hospital stay- but we’ve never had it before. I’ve been using MR cream now and it improved amazingly but looks like it will stay badly scarred because it’s deep inside skin.

Is it too tight?
Perhaps they're using a new brand and he's allergic to something in it?
Maybe ask the staff if they can change it every day.

It wasn’t too tight and since this was discovered they didn’t put the band back on. I wonder what could cause an allergic reaction like that. So interesting. Bchasdei Hashem anesthesiologists noticed it when putting in a new iv line.
