I'm looking for a caterer for my son's bar mitzva, who does a practical and presentable job (affordable, does not have to be too fancy). Also, what are the going rates? I'm hearing $23/per person, have found $21pp. Do caterers charge lower than that?

we want good food at a decent price , not the absolute cheapest, but food must be tasty and nicely presented, not fancy or upgraded

Kaufman from Monroe has someone that takes care of the Simchas in Monsey. Their food is supposed to be delicious.
You can google their number and ask them for all the info.
I was going to use him but in the end I used a hall which I needed to use the caterer on premises.
