I am interested in going this week away for Shabbos with my family. Not too expensive, must be very toddler friendly. Valley view is Satmar which in my head translates to toddler friendly, is that correct?

Does anyone have a phone number, and is pricing less because it's not fancy like arlington?

Someone mentioned it on another thread.

Edited. Looking for anywhere little kid friendly. We are friendly and get along with anyone.

Ok, apparently I'm not their target audience. Does anyone know where an oot yeshivish family can go?

We are very simple people and do not need fancy accommodation or meals, just decent food and space for our kids to play outside.

They told you that you can't come? I'm surprised

No, someone PMd me and said they are booked through the summer.

If someone has a phone number I'll call and ask if we can come. We would be thrilled to follow a dress code etc. We love Satmar people. And all chassidish people. And all people.

To clarify, I don't want to cook. But I'm happy with very simple meals.

Everything probably _is_ booked up through September. Did you try Raleigh hotel and lakehouse?

Yeah, they were a bit more expensive than we wanted, close to 1000. I was hoping for half that.

There was a caterer advertising simple weekend retreat at the closed Hudsey Valley Hotel this summer. See if they're still doing it. 888-772-6777

Bit cheaper than other options but I'd even like a bungalow in a colony that provides food.. I'll have to plan in advance next year

Bungalows even without food aren't cheaper. Sad It's like renting a home instead of 1 hotel room.

Go to Oppenheimers
Cheapest option with food .. not fancy at all but nice people come who don’t care about anything lavish... think old bungalow accommodations
I’ve gone because I hate schlepping food and they serve 3 meals a day with waiters..

Chabad yeshiva of the poconos
We once stayed there. Clean but rustic accommodations. Great playground area. Big fields. Eruv. The nicest people.
They do daven late Shabbos morning if that is an issue for you.
I chose to bring my own food but they do supply camp/yeshiva style. I heard it was good food from those that got (and cheap).
The management is a bit unofficial. Both pools were closed when we went. But there is a nice waterfall on grounds.

What about Tannersville?
Springwell Manors-check out their website.
Very simple and the kids loved it.
You need to bring your own food though.

You could pick up Shabbos in a box. All food needed plus paper goods.

Leaning towards this. It's air conditioned? Are the rooms clean? Will toddlers be happy?

If you go to mountains and rent a bungalow you could probably pick it up there

Yes, air conditioned but not central air
Rooms are old but clean
Toddlers are welcome there

I’ve gone many times and it was good for my family

Weekdays are cheaper than shabbos so we’ve done that a lot
