I'm looking to get a gift for a 16yo. I'm not very close to her so dont know her exact hobbies. I know she likes to paint. I'm totally not in this line and would greatly appreciate your help.
What no fail gift would you get? (probably in the $60 range but am open to more or less....)

Gift card to a local art/craft supply store. It's personalized enough to show you targeted toward something she likes, and let's her choose. Supplies can be expensive, and a$50 gift card would be very appreciated.

I was going to say the same thing as Animeme.
Art supplies are both very personal and expensive. A girt card to a local supply store would be perfect for my teenage daughter.
