Microsoft family works great for us. I white list whatever my kids can do. I set time limits.
Note: you can only have internet explorer browser. It doesn't filter if you use Chrome or Firefox.

Thank you! Does anyone have any other suggestions? What about Apple computer? Or an Apple iPad.

We use mobicip for an iPad we have at home. It gives you options re what level of filtering you want based on age, what you want to block, etc.
