What advice would you give to someone before they purchase a new home?
If you have experience, what are all the things a person should now before they start out looking to buy a home? What kind of expenses , etc does one need to know about?
Any and all advice/ info welcome
Tia!

Everything cost money. Everything. You will be getting bills for things you never heard of. Water. Sewer. This tax, that tax. Anything breaks, it's on you. Things wear out and need to be replaced. Roof. Electric wires. When you're considering whether you can afford a house, you have to also take into account all the expenses that crop up. If you or your husband are handy, that's a huge plus. If not, you'll be spending thousands just on home maintenance and honest, reliable workers are hard to find.
