[quote="#BestBubby"]Anybody ever here the song "Cats in the Cradle"? It's about a father who had no time for his son, and then when father retired, the son had no time for the father.
My camp counselors used to sing us to sleep with this one in the early 90s. That and The Circle Game

So here my secular songs that get me going
Night Swimming and Losing My Religion both by REM, Only Hope Switch Foot, anything by Evanescence, I Drove All Night Celine Dion, Nights In White Satin-Moody Blues, Ain’t No Sunshine- Bill Withers, On My Own-Les Miserables.....probably a lot more that can turn me into a weepy mess.

Nope, mine was in Canada, near Montreal.

I remember our counselor also sang us a song that went, “it’s not time to make a change, just relax and take it slowly, you’re still young, that’s your fault, there’s so much you have to go through.”

And the one about “turned the stone and looked beneath it, peace on earth was all it said.”

Oh, I just noticed that you just like. Where would I stop? I'll limit myself to songs that move me, even if not to tears.

Lots of Jim Croce - because he died tragically? I think I would anyway.
Beatles - Blackbird, In My Life, I'll Follow the Sun, Yes It Is. ETA: Julia. And, not a mellow tearjerker type, but just a great song: I've Just Seen a Face.
S & G - The Boxer

OK, I'll go on to songs that I just like - Orleans: Still the One and Dance with Me. Did they ever do anything else?

My frame of reference is very old.
