We are looking into moving to lakewood and trying to figure out if we could make it financially. I have 3 years experience working with young kids and have a masters in special and regular ed. What are my options? I'm pretty much open to anything (even if I'm overqualified), as long as it with children under five (as that's the age I love and am great with).
What would I make if I babysat? would it be hard to get children right away (ex if I move at the end of the school year and and would like to start September) ? Is the pay different if I open a legal daycare (have no idea how that works, is that hard to do?)?
What would I make with running a nursery/prenursery? And same question - would it be hard to full up if I'm new?
Would about working in a special ed school? Are there opportunities for that? Whats the pay/type of job?
Any other ideas that I'm not thinking of?

Based on what I see, you can take around 12 three year olds from 9:30-3 and earn about $43,800 ($365 per kid per month). This is before expenses, for example renting a basement if you don’t have your own, hiring an assistant, buying enough toys, supplies, snacks, etc. Some morahs charge an additional fee for supplies/snacks/diapers/lunch.

I live in lkwd. Prices I've paid:
Newborn-18 months $5 an hr. Max 6 babies per morah
18m- 21/2 years old $375-450 a month with hours till 3:15 max 10 kids per morah
2 1/2 - 4 years $325-375 per month with hours till 3:15. Max 12 kids per morah
Eta- once they are in a group setting you can take up to 6 more kids with an assistant and earn extra that way...
