Anyone know about the KVH hechsher? I'm in a non jewish grocery store, and I see the symbol on something I want to buy.
I eat most hechsherim.

It's the Vaad of New England, based in Boston. Many years ago I knew people who didn't use it, but a while back they brought in a new administrator who improved its reputation substantially, and the people I know who didn't used to eat from now use it without any issues.

It is now on the list of recommended hescherim that the CRC puts out, so is considered acceptable by the vast majority of "mainstream" people.
For a while it was not on the recommended list and some avoided it or only accepted it selectively on certain items. I grew up in the Boston area, so I always ate KVH, even when the CRC didn't approve.
