What kind of shoes are good before the solid shoes that won't rip up from walking outdoors?

Will it be able to handle walking outdoors? My first pair of soft sole ripped within a week. Not heavily used.

I can't vouch for other companies. But the robeez I've had (several pairs) last enough to pass down and are washed in the machine.

Stride Rite has shoes with softer bottoms (I think they're called Soft Motion). My son's first pair of shoes were a pair of those.

Many people get hard shoes right away as soon as kid is walking independently.
I used to haves genuine leather mocassins I got on ali they were great for the crawling/cruising stage.

When they walk independently more than crawl. My baby stands alone and takes a couple steps, but still crawls most of the time so he wears robeez booties. When he walks around more, I'll put shoes on him.
