DD is in that awkward in between stage where children's stuff is too girly but she may or may not fit into woman's clothing. She despises frilly clothing and only wants to be comfortable. She's skinny and beginning to develop and the fit and flare style suits her the most. We spent hours shopping in the Jewish stores yesterday and were very unsuccessful because she didn't like most things and many styles just didn't fit her properly. She desperately needs Shabbos clothing for yontif and nice outfits or dresses to wear to bas mitzvahs.
I'm also looking for skirts and tops she can wear Friday night and Shabbos afternoon. She won't wear a Shabbos robe and she prefers outfits to dresses.

Since you know what cut you want, I would just search Amazon, order a ton and return the rest.
If she's short enough, Calvin Klein makes some nice ones that hit just above the knee on grown women but may be great for her. I often see them in century21
