They are braided and I'm not going to undo it and mix it and redo it. Should I bake as is? sprinkle sugar on top? Wwyd?
Recipe is overtime cook white wholewheat challah.

Of course bake as is, what else? Throw them out? Worst that happens is they're no good and you wasted some gas. Personally I would add sugar and rework them. Bread baked without sugar is fine, but sugar content affects texture and browning. You may not like the texture without the sugar. Sprinkling a bit of sugar on top won't do anything for that.

there are many perfectly delcious bread recipes without sugar. I would sprinkle sugar on top (maybe on some of them) and taste one when baked.
