I get that he's a bureaucrat to the bone, but this is getting ridiculous. Unless the government is made to his orders, then it's just not worth having.

Truthfully, has doing everything right - for elections. I wonder if he wants a third round. Is he angling for the top spot?

Liberman is the kingmaker right now. He knows it and I can’t say for sure but I suspect he’s enjoying the power.
I don’t think he (or anyone) wants a third round.
I don’t think he’s angling for top spot. He’s smart enough to know that’s not happening.
Kingmaker is in a way more powerful than top spot.
I think what he wants is exactly what he says he wants (feel free to let me know if you think I’m giving a politician too much credit for honesty)-
A unity government with Likud, Kachol Lavan, his own party and no Arabs, Chareidim, or anybody else.

I don't get Lieberman's thinking.

If Likud and Kchol Lavan make a unity government why would they agree to have him in it?

They wouldn't need him and he can only cause them problems.

yes they have 64 seats together. Why bring him in and need to give him a ministry, give in to his demands etc.

I think you both are right. He sees himself in a three party government. If there is a unity government, then there is no way they'll take him in unless he's got real dirt on them. But it won't matter - because he "called it," he'll gain political traction no matter where he sits

I believe so. Can't figure out another motive for him. Unless he's being an Israeli bargainer, going for tons so he'll look oh-so-generous when he gives in and demands "only" to draft haredim.
