Hey one and all -

Got a lamb's head (ok , from the frozen package it looks like maybe one side of one) from the store and now I have to figure out how to cook this thing. I've generally dealt with fish heads but someone in my family requested we try this this year, so here goes!

So...can anyone tell me how to cook this thing? Bake, stovetop??? How long and at what temp.?

Thanks and shana tovah

This might not be so helpful to you, but I kind of just prepare it like...meat. Often involves a lot of tomato sauce and basic spices (salt, pepper, paprika) in a pot. I’ve also done the same thing but in the oven. It can be yummy with a lot of sautéed onions, carrots too.

It’s basically just lamb.

Rinse well, pat dry, rub with olive oil, fresh garlic, and salt. Roast uncovered at 400.

For how long? Does covered vs uncovered change the cooking time?

If I do it in a pot on the stove, how long does it need to cook for?
