For an infant ( under or about a month) to sleep for 6-8 hours?

without any sleep training or intervention.

Yes its normal for a baby to do one long stretch a day. It's also normal for a baby to not do that

Yes. One of my kids, born about 10 lb, slept 8 hours at about 2 weeks old. I’ve gotten 6 hours from other kids too. The smaller babies tended not to have as long of a stretch.

My babies slept right away through the night. I had very sleepy babies. I was always afraid that they sleep too much and checked if they are breathing.

Almost every night. I felt "recovered" pretty quickly after that birth!

I was a more confident mother when that child was born, and did not wake them up every few hours (as I had been told to), relying on diapers and weight gain to trust that they were getting enough nutrition.

Many of my other kids had nice long stretches only if I was cosleeping and could nurse as I slept with them.

Very rare. Also babies that sleep so much and don't eat often can get into a cycle of being weak from not eating-sleeping more-harder for them to have energy to eat- not gaining weight or eating enough- so sleeps more cuz weak.

If you're child is not gaining steadily you MUST wake them to eat

My youngest started sleeping 5 hours straight at 5 weeks and 6-7 hours straight shortly after that. He did that till about 4 months and then started waking up for feedings. And then didn’t sleep through the night till 3.5.

I have had some babies who did. They also cluster fed right before they went to sleep. BH their weight gain was excellent so the pediatrician told us that it wasn't an issue.

One baby (a big baby) slept 6 hours at night and was gaining weight and wetting diapers, so the dr said it was ok.
He stopped that at 9 months.

I cant tell anyone this in real life but my baby has been sleeping 10-12 hours a night since 1 week old with no effort on my part. She was gaining weight nicely so dr said it's not a problem

Sure, but don't expect it to be consistent or long term. It may or may not be. Of course when I've had that I would lay away with engorged breasts just waiting for the baby to wake up Can't Believe It

As long as the baby is gaining weight - it's OK.

My eldest daughter slept from 10 pm to 6-7am nightly from when she was just under 2 months old. I didn't sleep train or anything. I just nursed her around 10 and put her in her crib next to my bed. Being that she was an underweight baby, at her 3 month well visit the doctor told me to wake her every 3-4 hours to feed, so there went her long stretch... Bt it does show that it's definitely possible.
