First child entering the Boro Park School System.
Husband and I didn't grow up here and aren't familiar.
Schools we are currently looking into are Boyan, Stollin, Chasan Sofer & Veretzky.
Looking for information on these schools (student body type, parent body type, education etc.) and if there are any other Yeshivas with similar Hashkafos that might be a good fit.

Veretzky is in Flatbush and is not chasidish-heimish leaning.
Are you chasidish?

I would tell you to apply to 3 or 4 and do your research once your options are narrowed down-after you get your acceptance or rejection letters.

All 4 of them are fantastic options, but may be hard to get into. Stolin is more of a stolin crowd, chasam sofer is more mixed heimish crowd and veretzky is a more modern heimish or right wing yeshivish/litvish mixed crowd. Boyan is fantastic well rounded place with a varied mix.
I'd apply to all and go from there.

Based on the schools you mention you might be interested in Mevakshei Hashem. (Rav Fishel Schacter's school)

I don't have too much info on the school itself but you seem like you may fit into that crowd

I will need to go as amother for this..
But I sent to YCS and Im thankful I moved to lkwd because I was not happy there as a parent or my sons.
So if you have other options look into those.
Good luck.

This is l”h.
Most people must have had better experiences than you because it’s hard to get accepted into the school.
Please delete and PM the OP privately if you feel the information is relevant.

These are all totally different schools.
Boyan is mixed chasidish - but chasidish so all chasidish rules smartphones etc. etc.
Chasan sofer is heimish with some frum litvish and some mixed chasidish. But they have a thick booklet of rules regarding tznius for mothers and Internet etc.
Stolin is stolin. So there are a few other chasidish types in there but very stolin minded.
And veretzky is modern chasidish /modern heimish. And also double+ the price of all the others in tuition aspects.

Mevakshei Hashem is mixed chasidsh/heimish but super strict and extremely hard to get into.
