You can buy pasteurized eggs or pasteurize them yourself. Or stick to egg-free recipes.

Recipe calls for blending strawberries, whip, sugar, vanilla sugar, & orange juice & 2 eggs together & pouring into pie crust. Can I skip eggs?

Thanks. If I use this recipe, what should I add more of? topping? Put in confectioners sugar instead to hold together or it will any way hold together & eggs not neccessary?

Ok perhaps I am off topic, but is home pasteurization of eggs considered adequate? I remember reading that it's not as effective as commercial pasteurization.
