I am not so willing; I just feel I should. And as you see, I am struggling. For me, and I suspect for you, the clincher is the person''s impact on our families. That's the part that makes this hard for me. A mother might forgive someone for something they do to her but if someone hurts her child (ren).....
But I am trying.

The main thing for me, as I said, is that even if I forgive him I don't want him anywhere near us.

OP, I have nothing of substance to add, but I just want to say that you sound like an amazing person. I'm sorry for all the pain and hardships you endured.
