What do people do to protect the decorations the kids bring home. They are so cute but can’t always be laminated. I’d love to keep it year to year. We don’t have a shlack (succah covering). Any ideas other than hoping for no rain?

You could try spraying or brushing with polyurethane, but really, it’s not worth it. These things are not meant to last forever and, if preserved, will soon outgrow your storage space. Take a nice picture, laminate it, and use that to preserve the memory. The kids will bring more masterpieces home next year,

I have childhood memories of my decorations being used year after year but we had a succah covering. Any suggestions?

We slip them into heavy Ziploc bags and tape down the pack so from the front it looks like it's laminated.
Is there any way to get a sukkah covering? That's your only hope.

If you must preserve this stuff for posterity, put each item in a ziplock bag and hang the bag.

Can also stick in sheet protectors and duck tape the open side.

Either cover it with contact paper or put it in bag.
