I had this at a friend's house and thought it was quite tasty and super easy. My friend likes flavorful food but looks for recipes that are not a potchke
Miami Ribs
Excerpt From: Amy Rosen. - Kosher Style
SERVES 6
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
3 lbs beef brisket short ribs (aka Miami ribs)
½ cup dark soy sauce
½ cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp dry mustard
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
½ cup water
2 green onions, trimmed and thinly sliced, for garnish
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the ribs in the hot oil, a few strips at a time.
3. Meanwhile, in a large ovenproof baking dish, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, dry mustard, Worcestershire, garlic and water. Whisk well.
4. Add the seared ribs to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover tightly with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours. Remove the foil and cook for another 30 minutes. Sprinkle with green onions and serve immediately.
