This is my only chance to have some quality time with (girl and boy) while little kids are in school. What fun thing can we do?

Can you go to an escape room with them? You just might be grouped with other people if it’s only you 3

Virtual reality is lots of fun. There's a VR world in Manhattan.

I looked up the museum of finance, but it's closed. Also, what can we do if they're too too lazy to go out? I guess bake cookies. What else?

Are they the type that would be into an interesting board game with you?

Any sort of book on tape/movie you would all be interested in that you could discuss?

Building some sort of model?

Would they like to do a master chef/chop type of thing?
Maybe they can make lunch that way.
You can give them ingredients and a time frame to work with.
Then you can have a lunch date with what they made.

Some teens love the opportunity to do nothing.

Take them out to lunch, they pick the spot.

Its a nice day, you can explore Prospect Park, then go to Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and then the Brooklyn Museum which has a really cool egyptian collection room that they might enjoy. All this is walking distance from BP so no need for transportation. The Brooklyn Public library is also near the park so that could be another thing they enjoy.
You can also explore Brooklyn Bridge Park and then take a walk on the Brooklyn Bridge and explore the stores at South Street Seaport afterwards.
If you want to just stay home then games, baking, cooking, or a movie are the things I can think of but I would take advantage of this weather and do something outside before winter comes.
