I have one that's a pain on the neck to clean. Has crevices where dirt goes in that's impossible to get to clean and more where the lid opens. Any recommendations for a garbage can for kitchen, large size in grey/stainless steel color that's a breeze to clean and will last for a while?

I had a Simple Human that was excellent. They make a number of different models with different capabilities.

When I say automatic I just mean that there's a spring that pushes the top back down. Nothing electric.

I have a $12 swing top from Target. For more than five years. It seems pretty easy to clean, to me, anyway.

Hands free and has a lock for kids/pets. Also has a great warantee. Part of the opening mechanism broke and they sent me a new one free because it was within 3 years.
