Can you look into the mirror and love the person you see there?
It took me over 40 years to really love and accept myself.
I am proud to say now b"h "I love myself "

When I look I hate it because I see all my flaws . I also don't love myself. I'd like to but I don't because I'm so difficult to live with. I suffer from anxiety and depression and I have a fair share of anger too.
My childhood was pretty difficult and my mum used to and still critisises everything about me so I haven't developed much self love or self esteem.

When I look in the mirror I see my mom. So I try not to look.
Unless I’m wearing full makeup and headgear, which is quite different than what she wore.

If you are referring to loving myself as a person I’m in the process but I’m almost 40 too. I never had a love or hate relationship with my body.

I’m not into navel contemplation. Call me shallow, but I don’t bother myself about things like do I love myself. I think I’m an ok person, like most people I have some better traits and some worse ones, some lovable ones and some less lovable ones, but see no reason to ponder whether or not I love myself. If I decide yes, how will that change anything? If I decide no, how will that help?
I have no patience for psychobabble.
